FocusOn Instagramers 1.4: @jmworks

Each week, Instagramers.com discovers new people. This week we meet a very special user. We discover the guy who launched the very first “Instagram” interface in the web. A project called Webstagram. But who is the brain behind all this revolution? . . His name is Joe Mio. . He lives in Wakayama and he is 26 years old. This  japanese web engineer is the man behind @jmworks nick. You probably heard about his sucessful project called Webstagram. Webstagram changed lives of thousand of Instagramers all over the world in just few weeks. Joe is very interested in design, graphic art and medias. He follows all trends around communication supports and devices. He also enjoys drinking good wine and food. That explains probably why you will see him posting pics of dishes he cooked very often. (which is, by the way, an usual Asiatic habit in Instagram) Six years ago, Joe decided to launch with 3 other friends a start up company focused in providing web services. That´s the reason why during his very busy working daytime he´s mainly concentrated on developing websites for other companies using PHP programming. On week end, his life speeds up even more as he works as a DJ in a club downtown. I didn´t know him personally but it´s evident that Joe has a huge interest in community, helping, sharing ideas, making Instagram easier for all users and even make people have fun on its Saturday nights dance floors. Despite his very busy life, Joe kindly accepted to be our weekly guest in Instagramers.com. . When did you first join IG? Was it love at...
FlashOn 1.2: Pic “Cuba” by @paul1978

FlashOn 1.2: Pic “Cuba” by @paul1978

In previous FlashOn, we discovered two wonderful pics by  @iphonequeen and @minibox edited with simple techniques through Iphone Apps. In this week´s pic, we chose another kind of photography. A pic catching a moment, a pic expressing a good work is definitely not only a question of technique. A goodpic is also a question of sensibility and ability to catch special moments. This “Cuban boy” is a proof of it. . Paolo Castellaneta is a “30 something” Italian man. . He lives in his beautiful country, Italy. Italy is probably one of the best known European countries all over the world. Art, History, Good wine and Food. Love and Romanticism of its towns, Beauty of its landscape… (and I forget voluntarily the national sport!! Football) Paul shares two works. As an art director for an advertising agency and as professor at the Istituto Europeo di Design (I.E.D). Paul isn’t a professional photographer.  He is only a “curious person” he says. Through his works, he learnt to appreciate the details. “When everyone looks in one direction, I watch and photograph the other way”. He loves to take pics of people, different faces, different situations… All those simple things that express the soul of someone, of a place, of a moment. PAULaroid (for friends) recently published many pics of one his trips in another beautiful country called Cuba. I invite you to discover his @paul1978 stream. Hope you will like it as much as I do....

Sometimes original and creative or with a glamourous and surprising life and sometimes simply normal people probably like you and definitely like me. Here “most popular” or “number of followers” won’t be relevant at all. Just People with something in common. Their addiction to Instagram. This week, we meet… . Inkme ,  the “colorblind” Instagramer.. . His Name is Eriel. Like tons of latinos, Eriel´s name is Garcia. Like my mother! He born and raised in Florida. Like thousands of Miami people, his parents came from Cuba when they were kids. He doesn’t remember much of his childhood other than art in kindergarten. He says, did poorly at school because he couldn´t distinguish colors. Yes. Eriel is Colorblind. An “Iger” colorblind. He isn´t fully colorblind but his eyes can’t differentiate certain colors. Some blues and purples just look blue. Some greens and brown look green. What you would understand easily is a real problem for a a photographer with a so “colorful” soul. . He would have make fun of it but he didn’t realize until late, he had that problem. When he was 14 years old, he started running with local graffiti artists and bboys. Breakdancing and vandalizing any wall, pole, sign… The motto was “If you can see it you can bomb it”. A few years later, he downloaded a few 3D rendering programs and Photoshop… That’s when his passion for art was simply to push himself further. He always saw art as amazing. All kind of art sculptures, paintings, photography, graffiti...

This week, we meet… . @inckognito  “A shiny smile coming from the cold” .Her Every morning when i wake up as a real Instagramer addict, i turn on my Iphone and check my Instagram. Like probably lot of Igers, I prefer to spend a little time at bed watching others friends pics, before to wake up and run to work. Are we really Crazy people? Probably. However, to me,  it´s a very special moment to enjoy and dream!  Be transported everywhere in the world just for few minutes is great. People saying “good night” with nice californian beaches pics and other people having lunch in Japan. In between, Russia. Every morning an instagramer from Moscow pics her daily routine. She pics the underground life, hurry people, full buses, cold tramways, busy snowy streets. I love it! I don´t know her at all but her smile on her profile pic says it all. She is a sincere and nice person who loves people. Probably shy and very humble young woman, she probably loves to share her things, like she shares her feelings on her photos. I thought she deserved to be the guest of this third FocusOn. . Her name is Elena. She is from Russia. She says...
