Save photo bug in Instagram v2.0‏

.

One of the bugs detected in the last version of Instagram 2.0 version is  the possibility of “saving photo” in the camera roll. Josh from Instagram Team sent us this interesting tips.

.
It turns out that some users’ filtered photos are not saving to the camera roll despite having turned the “save filtered photo” setting on.
We’ll have a permanent fix for this in the next release, but in the meantime, we’d appreciate if you could help us spread the word to your followers about a simple temporary solution:

1) you simply need to open the Settings app on your device.

.

2) Toggle the “save filtered photo” setting off and then back on.

.

3) After doing that, subsequent photos uploaded to Instagram should be saved to the library (in high-resolution).

.

We’ve included step-by-step instructions, with screenshots, in this Help Center article:

.

Thanks for your comprehension!

  4. It still didn’t save my picture to my phone. I’ve done everything and still no luck. 🙁 I really want this pic saved to my phone! It’s the cutest pic of my baby girl and I can only view it on instagram. If I would of known that I would have never started using this app to begin with. 🙁

  6. No matter what I do, instagram photos will still not save to my camera roll (on iphone). They used to. I have the latest upgrades and have tried everything suggested on this blog. Any other ideas? Also I can no longer access photos already in my camera roll to add screens. Used to be able to do that too. Would be soooo happy if I can get this sorted.

  8. I am unable to save filtered photos to my phone. I have followed the instructions but in ‘Settings’, I do not have the option to ‘Save filtered photo’ to my photo library. I only have the ‘Save original photo’ option – but no pics recently taken with Instagram have saved.

How can I overcome this? Is it a bug in the 3.4.0 version? Any feedback welcome as not being able to access these Instagram pics renders the app useless!

  9. I have this same issue – I do not have the option to ‘Save filtered photo’ to my photo library anymore!! I only have the ‘Save original photo’ option – but no pics recently taken with Instagram have saved.

I have 3.4.1 and iOS 6.0.1. What the hell is going on, Instagram?! Why do we no longer have this option? I agree, without this it renders the whole app completely useless.
