My name is Joe Greer and I am a 25 year old living in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. My Instagram handle is @ioegreer and my close friends jokingly and lovingly call me “ioe”
I live in Washington and moving here four years ago was by far the best decision I have made in a very long time. Through Instagram I have made so many new friends across the West coast and the world. I love people, because people are weird and so am I. Hobbies included: Running, Hiking, Ping Pong, Photography, Jesus, Cliff Jumping, and Ultimate Frisbee.

What has been your most bizarre life experience: About three months ago a girl in here mid twenties ran into our home about 2 am and started screaming because she thought someone was chasing here…we tried to calm her down but was not working and after about 5 mins of screaming and freaking out, she ran out of our house down the street. What. The. Heck.
Super power you would like to have: Flight. Easy.

Did Instagram change your life: Honestly, It really has. It has open so many doors and opportunities for me to meet people, photograph the world, tell peoples stories, inspire, and to do what I love. How cool!!

Instagram for professional or personal use: Both. I photography what I like. The people in my life. I want to be a well polished photographer. Finding a healthy balance between the personal and professional is key!.

Daily time spent on Instagram: About 3 hours I’d say daily.

A favourite filter: I do not use any of the Instagram filters. Whoops! Sorry!

Pictures that made you like on Instagram: Portraits and unique Landscapes. Or a combination of both!
Pictures that must be forbidden on Instagram: The shirtless workout photos of dudes. Seriously? Ain’t nobody got time for that stuff.
An improvement for Instagram: I think its pretty rad right now! Keep Killing it Instagram team!
Life without Instagram would be: It would still be life. It would be a bummer because I have met so many amazing people through Instagram and want to continue to meet people so without that would be a bummer :/ But life would most certainly go on, and that is awesome!
An Instagram user we cannot miss: @Coryacrawford (One of my best buddies, and he inspires me daily!)
Anything else?: Instagram is a powerful platform to challenge, inspire, and to cultivate organic community. I’ve personally seen that been done. Be intentional with it! You’ll be surprised with who you will come across and meet.

Describe your best picture on Instagram. How did you take it, any interesting anecdote?: This picture has been one of my favourites. My friend Jared walked out on this frozen lake with the clouds hovering down low. It was extremely silent and incredibly peaceful. It was one of those moments where you just stop and taking it all in.

Techniques and equipment used: I only shoot with my iPhone 5s and edit through Snapseed and VSCOcam. Try and get up really early to go out and shoot. It’s one of my favourite times to go shoot. I’ve had some of my favourite shots from early shooting
