How to reset your password in instagram?

Lately I’ve been noticing an increase of beginner type questions about Instagram funtionalities on the blog. This is without a doubt a “sign” that demonstrates the massive increase of new members.

If you go to your profile settings you can reset or get a new password, nevertheless, I wanted to know if @josh , our helpful contact at the Instagram teamhad a tip or two about this and this is the mail,  he sent me this morning:

Thanks for asking. There’s a “forgot password” link on the login screen in the app. (see  image beside when login).

.

In addition to that, there are a couple other options on the web (but not in the app):

.

1) If you forgot your password or username, you can reset it here by entering the email address you used to sign up:

.

2) If you know your password but want to change it, you can do that here.
