Last week has been such an amazing experience… Last saturday, we had our Second Instameet Italia 2 and we met more than 150 Instagramers in Torino coming from all regions of Italy but also local groups “manIgers” from England, France and Spain. Instagramers Italia team presented its last project called #OperaViva , a creative social calendar promoted by Lavazza for next 2013. . The story of the Lavazza calendars tells of the 20-year long enduring link between the brand and art-house photography. . Starting off with Helmut Newton, the great masters of international photography have given their interpretations.  Today the calendar is still distinguished by its art-house slant and it has now been handed on to talents of the digital artist Marco Brambilla. For the first time it has been enriched with contributions from hundreds of lovers of photography and digital arts. . Always just a spectator, the public can now play an active role through the net and social networks. The Lavazza calendar has become social. So the 2013 edition becomes a dynamic, democratic and constantly evolving work of art! . A living opera, an Opera Viva you will be part of!! Tag your photos with #OperaViva until 31 October 2012. . Instagram Contest and Exhibition  Mexigers_LaTentacion . @igersMexico (Mexigers), IgersGuadalajara, @IgersTijuana, La Caja Magica and “LaTentacion TJ” organized 7th  .. The theme of this contest was: “What does “Temptation” mean to you?” Results: In 6 days we received a total of 647 photo submissions. Process: The first round of winners were 99 images that were selected by the folks from MEXIGERS. Judges: From these 99 images: Josue Castro selected 36 images. And at the final round: Deborah Klochko, Director of MOPA (Museum of Photographic Arts of San Diego one of the most important museums of photography in the US). . Winner: And The final winner was Uriel Gonzalez. . The Exhibition in Tijuana: . We opened our exhibition on Sept 7th and it will run until Sept 30Th at “LaTentacion Tj” Gallery, Pasaje Gomez, Tijuana ,BC. We had more than 300 people attend the day of the opening who enjoyed  36 first round photos that were printed a 6×4″ Post Card format and 18 second round photos were printed in a 16×16″ size. .The final winning photo was printed in a 24X24″ size, image by Uriel Gonzalez @purielg The 99 images that were selected by MEXIGERS were projected into the walls of Pasaje Gomez, were LaTentacion Tijuana is located. We were delighted that Debora Klochko accepted being our curator for out photo contest. We wish to thank her for kindness in supporting Mexican photographers as well as the new media movements such as: Instagram, digital image and Social Networking. Sergi Labori, un Instagramer de Barcelona, imagen de la campaña de Obama . Sergi Labori es uno de nuestros Igers más activos en los instameets de Barcelona desde los inicios de nuestras actividades. Hoy @sergilabori sale en todas las portadas, televisiones, radios por una razón tan sencilla como inesperada. Las casualidades del mundillo de las empresas de stocks de fotos, han querido que una de sus fotos se convierta en la imagen de campaña de Obama. ( @barackObama en Instagram)  . Resulta que Sergi se hizó unas fotos y un amigo suyo las dió de alta para venderlas en el portal de istockphoto…y el equipo de comunicacion de Obama ha seleccionado una de ellas para la campaña oficial de cara a las elecciones con el lema “Hispters for Obama” . Sergi lleva varios dias saliendos en teles, radios, periodicos y aun se pregunta el por que de tanta fama a nivel mundial.
