#MyAgathaExperience, a wonderful way to discover Catania during its annual Santa Agatha Feast
.
It´s always like this. I´ve never been to a place before and suddenly i fall in love with a place and come back in a short space of time. If last september, i was kindly invited to join our Annual Instagramers Italia Meeting in Catania, this time I had the great opportunity to join #MyAgathaExperience a group of Instagramers, Bloggers and Journalists trip and discover Catania during its annual and unique Santa Agatha feast.
Catania is a wonderful and full of history city. With an international airport and full of transport commodities, it really worths putting it on your next destinations agenda. It´s a so amazing place to visit all year long but specially during Santa Agatha Feast (Sant’Agata in sicilian). Santa Agatha is known as the third most important religious procession all over the world congregating more than one million people in the streets.
We were totally integrated into sicilian way of life and had the opportunity to feel the deep spirit of Santa Agatha celebration.
Highly photogenic processions, thousand of faces and feelings, candles and lights, incredible fireworks at night with music. Devotion to Santa Agatha makes that the entire city stops for three days but always ready to receive the guests from abroad.

Great food, really kind people and a lof of places to discover and easy to reach if you stay by one of the hotels in the centre of the city. We stayed at UNA Palace Hotel located in Via Etnea that was really comfortable. We all specially enjoyed its roof garden and a panoramic terrace with a spectacular view to Mount Etna.
During our visit, we had time to shoot amazing baroque architecture and lovely places like the Monastero dei Benedettini di San Nicolò l’Arena , the old theater Teatro Massimo Bellini , the most known private palace in the city called Palazzo Biscari or the amazing roman theater. As part of the trip we had also an unforgettable 4×4 trip to Etna volcano with Etna Finder, a specialized guides tour to know all the details of one of the most active volcano around the world.
But what a better way to feel our feelings and enjoy our experience than this video produced by Gianluca Fazio, (@thererumnatura). Have a look!
