Celebrate diversity is promoting human rights.

Amnesty International and Instagramers Venezuela open their platforms to make a call for celebrating diversity around the International Day of Tolerance with a photo contest to be held from 15 October to 10 November.

The aim is that Instagram users upload images that implicitly evoke the concepts behind tolerance from a human rights point of view such as solidarity and non-discrimination.  By using the tag # RetrataLaTolerancia and mentioning the twitter accounts of Amnesty International Venezuela   @amnistia and Instagramers Venezuela @igersvenezuela.

A jury of Venezuelan photographers Arlette Montilla from Escuela Foto Arte, Leo Ramirez from the Centre of Photographic Studies, and Consuelo di Carlo from Instagramers Venezuela, will take turns daily to select a winning picture that will be grouped and shown throught Amnesty International Venezuela social networks and in its Shop at the Ateneo de Caracas Christmass Fair, where people can also join to this global movement of human rights activists .

International Day of Tolerance.

Since 1995, every November 16 marks the International Day of Tolerance with activities ranging from education on values, to promote cultural diversity as a key factor  for the universal enjoyment of human rights.
